Computer Crimes

Recent years, there are many crimes with computers. Computer crimes or network crimes are the new field, and those are very complicated. The judgment and adjusting laws actually have not been clear yet. Therefore, we should know about these high-tech crimes to protect ourselves. Illegal access, the fraud with Internet or e-mails, or the violence of data is some example of the crimes.

Illegal access including hacking is very common crime. The professionals pass through the very tiny week point of some computer systems and steal information or rewrite the data and so on. They go to other systems through the victim, so the harm cannot be stop. Personal data may be suffering with these crimes. The offender enjoys doing it and observing the response from victims.

Moreover, we often hear about the fraud with using networks today. They attack directly our finance. Their purpose is our property. Maybe they do their work without noticed by victims or with deceiving us.

Comparing with the conventional crimes, it is difficult to identify the criminal, and the damage rapidly and widely spread beyond the frontiers.

To cope with these intelligent offenses, the revising and proposition of laws are now needed. Smooth connection of international police and security system should be set up.

I want to study about more Microsoft series. In my computer, I found some other soft for something. I have never tried them yet, but I ‘d like to use. Maybe it is not worth to use but I just want to try. Why I thought? There is a reason. I found an article about Microsoft office of other programs in the free paper. It said that we should use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and others that control the photo or memos easily (one note, Access, Inter Connect, Front Page…) when we enter companies as freshman.

Another important thing to study is the setting. I had my computer set up by my sister, so I do not know haw to set to start using computers. Which company is the best to use or how we can start are the fundamental skill. I feel anxiety if I can set up and use my computer in the U.S. or not. I really want to prepare for that problem before I go abroad.

MUSIC TOOL

Music become more close to us recently. Several kinds of music tools were born and rapidly spread out among us. Since a few months ago, I have seen most people listening music with something small players. I guessed those were not MD or CD players. Then I understood that those small machines were more advanced music players, so my idea of MD or CD becomes antique.
The ipod was the most famous and popular tool. Actually, I am not familiar those new items, so I researched about them. According to the article, MP3 is now well sold. It is special memory tool that can press huge date to little one; there for we can enjoy good quality music from the memory. Also, most MP3 do not skip part of the music at any time. That is nice!
I consider to buy it now or not after I have read the explanation.

We are spoiled by computers...

Today, we can see lots of computers in our routine lives. Computers are gentle for us, but instead of that welfare, we lost something from our lives.
For example.....
We do research with personal computers and type the paper on it. Several years ago, it was fact that students researched with many heavy books for a long time. Skills of students may decline since then.
We go to schools or companies every day with several kinds of transportation such as trains or cars. Human have less time to walk now. Power of us is getting weaker than in past.
Most people enjoy seeing TV or listening to music. We do not have many chances to entertain our selves with other analog tools. Moreover, these kinds of computers do not let us communicate with others.
These computers gave us useful and comfortable lives; however, they spoiled us very much, and now we cannot live without computers.

Now a day, we can find many computers anywhere we go. One thing, for instance, is used for our food such as vegetables, fruits, and meets. When I go to supermarkets, I usually see the sign of the “code”. The code is called the second dimension code, and which is read by several kinds of current mobile phone with camera. When we access to the URL of the code, we can check who made the crop or meet, where they were from, when they were produced, or what was used to grow up that. Some of supermarkets put a automatical machine in front of the register area. People who are going to buy food can check their information easily. With this system, the consumers can buy things to eat safely.

My Fear of Using Internet

The biggest fear about computer for me is that my personal data is spread. Using Internet, I can access all over the world. That means some people who plot illegal use of Internet also can see our personal information.

There are many Internet accidents, for example, cunning hacker opened the huge data area of big company that had much particular information of their customers. By that incident, the company lost credit from their customers. The amount of damage bursted up. The victims were stolen their personal data such as their address, or credit card numbers.

These hacking can be said for personal users. Unknown person snoop each person where to access. Spypod, for instance, put unnecessary advertisements when we open trap area. They can know where users are or what users do next.

I always mind to put my data- my E-mail address, name, real address, or credit card numbers- even at the safe sate. However, sometimes we have to pay the fee of something. At first, actuary I really hesitated to do that for TOEFL. Now, the technique of computers is developing, so it may be difficult to protect users perfectly.

I hardly use computers except doing my homework. Therefore, this topic of the blog was hard for me, but I did my work. At first, I asked my sister because she really enjoys using computers and she is my teacher of computer once. However, she does like chatting on the net, so it is not useful for me. I searched several interesting sites, and I saw them enjoyably. I found fun to do “net surfing”.
To start, I saw some music sites. I found the easiest one. Yahoo provided me it which showed me the video of artist with song. I can see the promotion video in it and hare clear music. Of course, I saw “EMINEM”’ s music. He was cool!!
Next, I moved to the movie site. It was difficult to find nicest one, but I reached the site of movies which was best for me. I remembered that I used this site to understand what I saw in the EAP class. At that time, I saw the summery of the move. This site was very hlpful for me.
At the end of this work, I tried to find some news programs to use for my anther homework. When I do my research homework, I sometimes go to this site and find available news. Recently, I used this to find periodical source for my research paper of Expository Writing class. This is little bit difficult to see and understand; however, it helps me a lot and good to encourage my skill.
I don't know it is OK or not, but I sometimes go to the entertainment site. This is a Japanese site. In this site, we can see other people's fail or mistakes just to laugh. We, including me, do sometimes big embarrasting acts in the daily life. People who could accept those mistakes send mails about their fails to this site. Those messages encourage us; moreover, they make us laugh. I don't think here is good site for our studying, but if you have enough time to see this and need rests, please see this!!

New Car!!

When I image computers in the future, an imaginary thing can be thought. The new special car will be invented if it could be permitted. The car has some special sensors in its body to catch information around itself. It must get many information of the road and judge as same as humans, and computer control it. If we push a button and set our destination, it automatically drives to there People, who have difficulty of driving cars or who are under age enough to have license, can drive by the car even they do not know the traffic rules. It may be used to carry children safely when their parents are too busy to take them home. Traffic jam will be decline because computer control the car, and also traffic accident will be prevented. This imaginary car was appeared in my dream when I was a child. It has not come true yet, but similar system had already invented. The sensor of controlling speed was used several years ago. Therefore, I hope it to become real thing.

In this course, we learned about “BLOG”. Now, we are making our original blog as our homework. For this time, the topic of our blog was researching news about computers, so I did it. Then, I found timely news for us. Yahoo! Japan started BLOG service. Yahoo! is very famous in Japan; therefore, even I know. I thought that they would make BLOG more popular in Japan. Their blog can be paste 2 GB pictures in each article, and we can chose 16 kinds of backgrounds and make them interesting. In addition, we can check survey, fan’s records, or statistics, and they have some other useful functions. The cost is free, but we need to get Yahoo! original ID before starting Blog. Present For my Niece

If I have enough money to buy new items of computers, I may buy the latest personal computer for my niece. She is now 10 years old. I want her to know how to use the computers. She sometimes uses her mother’s PC to play on the Internet, so it may become natural for her generation to use computers for routine. From my experiences, we need to know about PC to keep up today, and it is needed for us to have the skill. I regret having avoided learning about computers until I entered NIC. Using computers is very useful for academic study. If she needs other tools such as printer, scanner, or soft, I will buy them. And I have a plan in the future. If she master computers, I want her to communicate with me from Japan to America with Internet.

Becoming Close to the Computers

Before I entered NIC, I did not use personal computers, and I even did not have it. I did not think it is important to use it or to know it. Of course, I studied how to use the computers during my school days, but that was just a little. I could only turn on the computer and turn off it.
However, I was forced to use computer to go to the university in the U.S. when I started studying at NIC. I asked my sister about PC because she is good at using it. My sister suggested me to buy her old computer by low price. I was pleased to hear that, so I could get my own computer in cheep. For the first semester, I was busy to keep up using Microsoft Words. In addition, I had to buy the printer to print out my essays for homework. Moreover, I had to improve my skill of using computers more frequently. I need to use Power Point. Through these processes, other skill such as E-mails, Internet, or printing, were needed.
Recently, I manage my computer for a just simple way. Nonetheless, I still need my sister’s help.
